Dusty Harp Pickup

Description

The Dusty Harp Pickup was developed to solve one of the most persistent challenges harpists face: amplifying the instrument without sacrificing its natural tone. Unlike traditional contact pickups that emphasize certain strings over others, this system uses multiple carefully spaced piezo elements along the soundboard to create a balanced, focused sound across the entire range. The result is warm, resonant bass paired with clear mids and highs—faithful to the acoustic character of the harp.

Discreetly mounted inside the soundbox, the pickup remains invisible to the audience while providing simple, “plug-and-play” functionality through a single rear-mounted jack. It connects directly to most amplifiers and PA systems with a standard instrument cable (not included), and while a preamp is often unnecessary, one can be added for additional control in situations that require louder volumes. Originally designed for Dusty Strings harps, the Dusty Harp Pickup has since been successfully installed in a wide variety of other lever and pedal harps, making it a trusted choice among harpists and sound technicians alike.
