The Prelude 40 stands out as one of the most sophisticated lever harps in Lyon & Healy’s collection, providing a warm, resonant sound with exceptional clarity across its extended 40-string range. Its tension and spacing closely resemble that of a pedal harp, making it a natural choice for students preparing to transition into pedal studies or for harpists who want a lever instrument capable of handling more advanced repertoire.
Crafted with the iconic Lyon & Healy attention to detail, the Prelude features a graceful, classical silhouette and a beautifully finished soundboard that enhances both visual appeal and tonal richness. The extended range gives players greater musical freedom, while the high-quality levers ensure smooth and reliable semitone changes. Ideal for lessons, performances, and professional use, this harp offers the depth of sound and expressive capability normally found in larger instruments — all in a lever harp that remains manageable and portable.
The Prelude 40 is a beloved choice for harpists seeking a premium-quality lever harp with the soul and presence of a pedal harp.
